Digital Cultures

For the next module at college 'Digital Cultures', I will be looking at Leeds as an ubiquitous city and the technology that may be involved. I have chosen to look into RFID tags and how they are used and could be used in the future.

Some useful links and information which I will be able to use in the module are posted below...

How To Bend It Like Beckham . . . the video

Here is the final video that was produced from the plans and the animatic. As this was the first time either me or my partner had used a HD video camera and Final Cut Pro then we didn't expect to blow everyone away! overall the video turned out to be quite successful although there were a few points like shot composition and focus that could have been better plus we ran out of time to put a decent title and ending screen on it! Unfortunately a lot of the quality has also been lost when converting it as it was a lot better quality on Final Cut Pro.

This is my first animatic!!! I drew the pictures quickly on a storyboard and then scanned them into the computer. I then used Final Cut Pro to edit them and put them together into the animatic.

As it is the first time I have done this type of work there are many things, especially the quality of the drawings, that could be changed or made better.

Whilst making the animatic it revealed problems like filming across the line, noticing that some of the shots would need to be changed as crucial information couldn't be seen and also more shots would need to be added in order to put all the necessary information across.

All in all I don't think it was bad for a first attempt on a completely new program.
